Sunday at lunch Rev. Ladale Benson asked me if there is another church in Concord that is open and affirming (of LGBT people). I said a few are. But I don’t know of any others with a Rainbow and Transgender flag flying outside their building. A first time worshiper that day told us they came because they saw a photo on our website of the flags hanging on the church building and said, “I gotta check out this church!”

Then I asked Ladale if he knew of another church anywhere that a black man and a white man share the pulpit at the same time. He didn’t. Neither do I.
We agreed: Trinity UCC is a pretty special church in Concord NC. And it will be even more special on Easter Sunday with you there, and a full breakfast buffet that can’t be topped anywhere!

So come check it out this Sunday. Breakfast is from 8:30am-10am (donations kindly accepted). There’s an Egg Hunt at 9:30am and worship at 11am with both Ladale and me in the pulpit. We’ll save a place for you.

Peace,
Rev. Nathan King

Trinity Covid-19 Latest Info

On May 8, 2020 at 5pm, North Carolina will be entering Phase I of re-opening the state. This is a limited re-opening and Trinity will be complying by continuing our worship service as ONLINE only. We know groups are anxious to begin meeting again in person. Our church board (consistory) will be providing details in the coming week on what re-entering our building will look like when it becomes safe to return. Until then, building access at our facility is limited. Please call the office at 704-782-1024, or text Pastor Nathan at 704-224-1653 for more information. For groups that use our facility for meetings i.e. AA, ACA, etc. our office will notify you next week about re-entry expectations for when re-entry is available. Thank you for helping us keep everybody that uses our building safe.
